Presentation
The Atlantique PGI covers red, rosé, and white wines produced along France’s Atlantic coast. An oceanic climate brings mild winters, sunny summers, and sea breezes that keep the vineyards fresh.
Terroir
A resolutely oceanic climate. The Atlantic brings mild winters and a sensation of freshness. Long and sunny summers promote an ideal ripeness of the grapes, while sea breezes preserve the vineyard's freshness. Deep clay-limestone soils, predominantly clayey, whose structure ensures a gradual water supply and a regular and homogeneous ripening.
Winemaking
Pre-fermentation hot maceration followed by a short 5-day maceration, in order to extract color and aromatic expression while maintaining a soft and very fruity structure.
Ageing
Tank breeding to preserve the brightness of the fruit. Systematic inerting of musts, fermenting juices, and finished wines to limit oxidation and preserve aromatic freshness and color.
Varietal
Merlot
