Presentation

Presentation
Château Croix de Paty has belonged to the Jarrige family for four generations. Alain Jarrige—persevering, warm-hearted, hard-working and perfectionist—tends 16 hectares in Côtes de Bourg with great care. After starting as a farm worker, he became a winemaker when he took over the estate with his wife in 1987. Located near the citadel of Bourg, the château (built in 1893) overlooks the Gironde estuary and stands out for its double staircase, columns and sculptures.
Terroir
The clay-limestone soils of Château Croix de Paty, dense and dotted with small white stones, offer limited water availability—an ideal condition for the vine. This natural constraint enhances ripeness and concentration while preserving a crisp, generous fruit character.
Winemaking
Throughout vinification, every step is taken to highlight elegance and the pure expression of the terroir.
Ageing
The wine is aged for 12 months to achieve supple, well-integrated tannins and a smooth, rounded texture.
Varietal
Merlot
